If you love pitching in and being part of something bigger, volunteering at MacKids Walk & Wheel is for you. Volunteers help create a safe, welcoming, and joyful experience for families from across the region – and every role contributes to a day kids will remember for all the right reasons.We welcome volunteers 16 years of age and older, with those under 18 accompanied or approved by a parent/guardian volunteer who is 18+. Opportunities include route marshals, activity supervisors, food and beverage support, registration assistance, and more. The BRIGHT Run, raises awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Research in the Greater Hamilton area. It has been running for 19 years. We have volunteer opportunities during the summer. ( Raising awareness, selling penny sale and raffle tickets at the Juravinski Cancer Centre or at the Winona Peach fest) and it culminates in Septemer with our annual run/walk at the Christie Lake conservation Area where there are various volunteer roles like parking management, trail guidance and assistance, Set up and tear-down of event structures, working in the Kidz zone, face painting, providing snacks and drinks to participants, assisting with various sales, first aid, registration, being flexible and available to help out where needed, etc. .
